Haldi
To start the weekend off strong on Friday afternoon all of Pallavi and Rohits friends and family showed up to celebrate the couple and their love. The Haldi ceremony was filled with vibrant Yellow and pink colors. The haldi symbolizing purification, good luck, protection and family bonding was such a special thing to witness. Pallavi and Rohit sat under the ceremony space as friends and family lined up to place turmeric flowers and prayers onto them.
Mehndi
As the sun went away and the night came, Pallavi and Rohits family and friends placed lights outside the venue to create a special glow for the Mehndi. They played music and relaxed as henna was placed on each of them. Rohit got henna that said Pallavis name and they each got something special that they loved and cherished for the wedding day celebrations to come. A Mehndi ceremony is a pre Indian wedding ritual that symbolizes love, prosperity and fertility. It helps with pre wedding stress and protects the couple evil spirits. Truly such a special and intimate ceremony to document.

The ceremony
The main wedding day ceremony is the heart of an Indian wedding. Rich with symbolism, color, and centuries old traditions. At the center of it all is the sacred fire or Agni, lit to witness and bless the union. As mantras are chanted, the couple exchanges garlands in a joyful moment that represents mutual acceptance and respect. The ceremony then moves into the Saat Phere, the seven sacred walks around the fire, each step marking a vow of love, trust, partnership, family, health, prosperity, and lifelong companionship. Surrounded by family, music, and the glow of ritual, every movement carries deep meaning, binding not just two people, but two families and their futures together. It’s a ceremony that feels both intimate and grand, grounding modern love in timeless tradition.
The reception
After the ceremony they all took a break to prepare for the reception. Pallavi decorated a room in red roses and candles for her and Rohit to have gorgeous intimate photos taken in dark light, where they would eventually have dinner later on. Then friends and family celebrated by showing the couple their dances that they practiced for them.
